Thus Spoke Zarathustra

As always I like to do these reports as if I’m taking notes for school. It’s kinda just the way my brain works, or the way I allow my brain to work to stay in the lazy river of my comfort zone.

All points are what I’ve gathered from my perspective both from reading the book and also listening to a readers guide style podcast on the book.

- All human values are created by humans, not gods, nature, or fundamental reality.

- Good and evil are just names we use to label actions, behaviors, and ideas.

- “God is dead” — as in we humans are the creator beings. We create our personal reality (environment). We give our personal surroundings & every day routines and values importance.

- We can no longer blame god or a higher being for our values, judgements, and behaviors — they are all our own creation and we choose to abide by them.

- Creative beings can shed the external influence of others and their prior surroundings (prior as in to personal enlightenment) and create a new way of being in the world.

- Values are just goals that humans create so they can reinvent/recreate themselves.

- The will to power — self directed drive. We have the capability to advance to anything and any limit we want, few will understand that always creating and always pushing the envelope is the path of freedom. The masses/majority find it easier to obey and conform to the commonly accepted values which hinders self directed drive.

- “There is more wisdom in your body than in your deepest philosophy” — trusting your intuition and gut feelings, being absolutely true to yourself without external input, interference, & pressures.

These are the points of importance that I’ve gathered from this book. You create your own reality, your choices directly influence your path & reality.

Choose to follow the same ol same ol way of being, don’t question why you’ll always feel stuck and never moving forward.

Forge your own path driven by your own desires, choosing for yourself what is for you and not for you. Always creating and making things and pushing yourself to break the mold. You are your own creator.
