Sailor Jerry Book 2 - Page 8

 

Busy busy day, but feeling overall satisfied with this page.

Tracing:

The 01 Micron I've been using started to crap out on me halfway through tracing these which was a bummer, but good thing I've got some backups.

Black/Shading:

Not a whole lot of black shading to be done on this page. Doing ribbons are a little challenging because its easy to get heavy handed and careless with the black when you're trying to do a thin line.

Color:

I think the biggest challenge for me with this page was pulling these long lines for the legs. I'm really trying to steer away from sketching and create that muscle memory to do single line pulls. Also lineweight I feel like I'm still struggling with a bit.
