Sailor Jerry Book 2 - Page 24

I'm finally feeling like I'm understanding how to use watercolors and really getting the hang of blending everything out right.

Tracing:

The way he did the mermaids tail bothers me so much, it just doesn't look natural, like an actual pose a mermaid would do (I say as if I would know better).

Black/Shading:

Ah ships, probably the easiest thing for me to shade.

Color:

I really dig this page, its pretty simple and easy.

There is always something though that doesn't look like it fits the theme of the page - like the door hinge... thing..
