Sailor Jerry Book 2 - Page 15

Total honesty, I lost my cool while doing this page. Struggling with the pens and using too much water and cheap paper just really got to me. I'm gonna redo this page at some point because I'm really not happy with it.

Tracing:

Circles are the enemy.

Black/Shading:

Doing the black and shading I actually felt semi confident that it would all come together pretty good. Not sure if it's my hand or the microns but they just are so hard for me to work with.

Color:

Aside from circles being the enemy with this page, the other challenge was trying to get the true colors since the page is pretty faded/intense coffee wash over it, tried to pull the true colors out of it rather than color match the page.
